Relocation, Relocation...

Last Wednesday whilst waiting for Grand Designs to start on Channel 4, I watched some of Relocation, Relocation. The programme was just drawing to a close and they were looking ahead to what was coming up in the programme the following week, when they mentioned the names Andrea and Ady...and my attention was grabed. I rememberd filming the wedding of an Andrea and Ady a few years earlier and was curious to see if they were one of they same...sure enough when they showed the clip from the original series it was Andrea and Ady Guthrie. I had to go and check back to see when I had actually filmed the wedding and was shocked that it was back on the 1st April 2004.

I guess that's one of the really strange quirks of this job, when you film a wedding, you spend one of the most important day's of a couples life with them and then often you don't see them again, apart from when they collect the finished Wedding DVD. It's always nice when you do bump into them, sometimes years later, and see what they are up to. I will be watching on Wednesday with great interest to see how Andrea and Ady have got on.

The programme is on Wednesday 25th Feb at 8.00pm on Channel 4. Check out the website for details on the original series... Relocation, Relocation

Variety is the Spice of Life...

On Sunday 15th February we will be at the Preston Marriott Hotel Wedding Fair from 11.30am until 4.00pm. Our stand will be showing various clips from weddings that we have filmed over the last year or so and you can pick up a free DVD of our show reel to watch at home. There will be lots of other exhibitors there at this popular venue, so why not come down and join us and take a look around.

We've spent the last week hard at work editing the footage filmed at the Beaverbrooks Conference 2009, the week before. There is over 70 hours of footage that needs to be edited down onto just 5 DVD's...so we'll be spending quite a bit of time over the weekend and next week doing this as well.

Next week also sees us over at Skipton Castle filming The Barber of Seville which is being performed by Heritage Opera

Then in the early hours of Saturday morning Chris will be travelling down to Windsor with the guys from Big-TV who have one of their screens down at The Royal County of Berkshire Polo Club for the The Westbury Gold Cup 2009. As the saying going 'variety is the spice of life' and we certainly get that in our business...

Tuesday 24th February

February already...but where is all the snow?

We spent the early part of this week watching the weather news with apprehension as we had a busy week in store. But thank goodness it didn't snow in Preston...or should that be 'alas it didn't snow' as we still have two sledges hung up in the same spot in the garage where they have been for the last few years...oh well, maybe next time.

But back to the week in hand...

This week saw us at the Dunkenhalgh Hotel in Blackburn for Beaverbrooks annual conference. As in previous years we were there both to provide live video feeds to the screens and also to record the event for later distribution on DVD. Wednesday saw us filming for some 14 hours...and boy were we shattered at the end of that! Thursday was a bit shorter but never the less still as tiring. But despite that it was a brilliant couple of days - as usual - will some very thought provoking presentations given. Now it just needs editing!

The weekend will see us at the Charter Theatre in Preston filming 'Let's go to the Movies' for the Ann-Louise Holden School of Dance.

In between times we are still busy uploading our work on to Vimeo on the Corporate Channel and the Wedding Channel for you to view. So keep watching...
